Riotfest 2012 Coming in September - Better Than Ever
After a landmark year in 2011, the eighth annual RIOT FEST—the music festival which celebrates rock, indie, punk and underground artists from every era—is expanding for the first-time ever into an outdoor music event and carnival in 2012. The RIOT FEST & CARNIVAL will feature a wide mix of artists ranging from Gaslight Anthem, NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Built To Spill, AWOLNATION, Gogol Bordello, Frank Turner, Coheed and Cambria, Less Than Jake and many more. It’s set for Friday, September 14, Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 in Chicago on the beautiful grounds of Humboldt Park which boasts rolling fields, pavilions, tall trees, picturesque gardens a lake and lagoons with a majestic view of the Chicago skyline.

KORPIKLAANI REVEALS FIRST DETAILS ON NEW ALBUM
FINLAND – Finnish traditional folk metal pioneer, Korpiklaani, has revealed initial details on its upcoming 8th studio record, Manala. The band’s fourth Nuclear Blast Records release will hit stores on August 14th in North America. Main man, Jonne Järvelä, has issued a statement explaining the concept behind the album’s title.

Monday April 30, Leslie Feist and her band brought an experience to The Old National Center Murat Egyptian Room that was a much-needed breath of fresh air to Indianapolis. Feist began their 2012 tour at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California bringing with them Indie artists such as Bon Iver and Timber Timbre. On this tour, Feist has also brought with her the members of the Vermont folk group Mountain Man. Serving as her backup harmony Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig and Amelia Randall Meath, bring another level of intrigue to Feist’s tribal ensemble. The atmosphere is more of a late night rendezvous at a beach fire than a concert in the middle of the city.
