Symphony X

Symphony X is a progressive metal band from New Jersey that was formed by former Gemini member Michael Romeo. The group gained popularity overseas early on in Japan and then spread to Europe after the release of their 3rd studio album The Divine Wings of Tragedy. Their complex sound, concept based albums, and neo-classical flare have put them in the company of artists like Dream Theater and Yngwie Malmsteen. In 2009 Symphony X signed on to Nuclear Blast Records where they will release their latest album in June (as of 2011), Iconoclast.
