Orla Fallon

Órla Fallo was born in Knockananna, Ireland and plays the harp and sings traditional Irish music, most often in the Gaelic language. Her debut album, The Water is Wide, was released in Europe in 2000 and in North America in 2006. In 2005, she was featured on The Duggans album Rubicon along with peers Moya Brennan and other members of Clannad. It was then that she was offered to be in the Irish group Celtic Woman. She was featured in the self titled debut album Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration and Celtic Woman: A New Journey. In 2009, she left the group has recently been featured as part of Jim Brickman’s “It’s a Beautiful World” tour and PBS special. Orla released her second album Distant Shore in September 2009, she released a new CD, Distant Shore.

in 2010, Órla Fallon’s released Celtic Christmas, a DVD and a special companion CD that also includes 20-time Grammy Award winner, 18-time CMA Award winner and Country Music Hall of Famer, Vince Gill. Gill makes a special appearance on the CD for a duet of “Little Drummer Boy” with Órla.
