Megadeth

The American heavy metal band Megadeth was formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, California, by Dave Ellefson and Dave Mustain. They have released more than 10 studio albums. As an innovator in the American thrash metal movement, the band rose to international fame in the 1980s. Megadeth was ranked as one of the “Big Four of Thrash,” alongside Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica. All four were credited with creating, developing, and popularizing thrash metal.
Megadeth has released a number of gold and platinum albums. After Mustaine suffered a severe nerve injury to his left arm in 2002, the band disbanded. In 2004, the band reformed after Mustaine went through extensive physical therapy.
