Warped Tour 2010 Comes Out Swinging - Artists, Tour Schedule and the Early Take
North America’s longest-running touring festival kicked off the summer celebration on Friday, June 25 in Carson, CA at the Home Depot Center. Now in its 16th year, the VANS WARPED TOUR® brought in music lovers by the thousands and saw the largest crowd yet at the Mountain View, CA date (June 26).
On Friday in Carson, over 12,000 fans took in the sights and sounds of All-American Rejects, Street Sweeper Social Club, Alkaline Trio, Sum 41, Andrew W.K., Mike Posner, Dillinger Escape Plan, The Rocket Summer, The Pretty Reckless, Confide and many, many others. Saturday’s Mountain View show brought out a record 16,000 attendees and Ventura (June 27) on Sunday drew over 11,000.
Off to a stellar start, 2010 promises to be the most memorable jaunt yet for the annual punk rock extravaganza. “More than 90 bands erupted beneath an overcast sky, as new acts and established names like All-American Rejects and Andrew W.K. made for another intense sampling of hard rock, punk and hip-hop…hip-hop/rock duo 3OH!3 bounced to the main stage with a full band, igniting tough, tuneful riffs and raps to a big crowd of fans holding up the two-handed 3OH!3 salute…Andrew W.K. delivered 30 minutes of straight-ahead hard rock & roll…On another stage, Attack Attack mutated sludgy metal riffs with sudden shifts into bright pop melody, as band members bounced to the beats. 311 “Uplifts” Fans at White River State Park

On Monday night 311 took over the lawn right as the sun began to set at White River State Park. Fans chanted “three – eleven, three – three – eleven!” in anticipation of the show as the audience danced and socialized on the grassy hill. Summer was definitely in the air as opening band, Pepper, played a reggae-infused set of beach party music complete with life-guard style costumes and surfboards.
311 did not disappoint, as they performed their major hits like “Come Original” and “All Mixed Up” with the same excitement and energy they had 15 years ago. Their opener, “Down,” was the perfect start to the evening, eliciting applause and screams of appreciation within the first few seconds of the intro. Even people walking outside the park stopped to listen and nodded their heads as the familiar music reverberated throughout downtown Indianapolis and across the canal.
This is the fourth year for the band’s Summer Unity Tour, as they travel across the country spreading the message of peace, love, and dub-rock. Formed in 1988 in Omaha, Nebraska, the band has developed a dedicated fan-base that continues to grow with each successful studio album. They even celebrate their own holiday (March 11th) every year by playing a massive extended concert (some lasting up to five hours) at different venues in the US. Their latest album, Uplifter, released last summer, debuted at #3 on the US Billboard Charts, the highest chart position of the band’s career.

Bret Michaels proved that you can rock n roll with a hole in your heart as he performed in true form with heartfelt appreciation for his life at Rib America Festival, Soldier’s Memorial, St. Louis, MO.
Labeled as the COMEBACK TOUR, Michaels is back from an amazing set of heath challenging circumstances that have plagued him over the past few months. A known life-long suffer of diabetes, Michaels also experienced life threatening traumas ranging from an emergency appendectomy to a brain hemorrhage and most recently a warning stroke caused by a hole in his heart. "I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back" Michaels said just before launching into "Talk Dirty To Me."

In his second live performance since winning Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice, Michaels proclaimed “Tonight we’re here to celebrate" and celebrate is exactly what he and his adoring fans proceeded to do as he lit into “Look What The Cat Dragged In.” As he pounded his chest with obvious love and appreciation for his fan’s support, Michaels admitted “I need this.”
Michaels looked and sounded amazingly well as he told the crowd to expect more TV appearances. His new VH1 reality TV show, "Life As I Know It" debuts on May 31st which is billed as an insider’s look at Bret’s home life when he isn’t touring, shooting, partying and rocking out. VH1 was in the house filming the Rib America performance so the crowd turned their frenzy up a notch.
The theme song for ROCK OF LOVE, “Go that Far” pretty much sums up this artist’s MO as Michaels is a survivor and consummate performer. Check out his incredibly aggressive tour schedule that would that wipe out the healthiest rock star.

Disturbed have just unveiled a teaser video clip for their new single, “Another Way To Die”, which can be seen above. “Another Way To Die” impacts radio and goes on sale on iTunes next Tuesday (6/15). This Fall the band will be releasing its new album Asylum, and will also be hitting the road with Avenged Sevenfold on the Uproar Tour.
