Los Angeles, CA (May 10, 2010) Three-time Grammy nominees STONE SOUR have revealed that Audio Secrecy will be the title of their highly anticipated new album, which is slated for release later thissummer. The band and producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Rush) are currently holed away at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN, where they’re putting finishing touches on the much-buzzed-about record.
Audio Secrecy is the summation of everything we want, everything we crave and everything we fight for, says lead singer Corey Taylor. The dimensions go further than anything we’ve ever tried before. It’s metal, rock, slow, soft, hard, fast, bitter, beautiful and most importantly, it’s REAL. You can’t get an album like this out of a band that doesn’t exist. We’re throwing caution out the damn window.
The band (vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarists James Root and Josh Rand, bassist Shawn Economaki and drummer Roy Mayorga) will be previewing select songs from Audio Secrecy during their performances on this summer?s Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. The 36-date tour launches August 17 in Minneapolis, MN and will visit arenas and amphitheatres across North America before wrapping October 4 in Madison, WI. Tickets for Uproar go on sale Saturday, May 15 in select markets and are available via Rockstar Uproar and Live Nation.
Audio Secrecy is the follow-up to the gold-certified Come What(ever) May, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and spawned three radio hits: Sillyworld, Made of Scars, and the No. 1 smash hit single “Through Glass.” Revolver magazine gave the disc four stars and praised the quintet for demonstrating a dynamic range equaled by few of their peers. Billboard hailed the record as an intense, taut piece of work, and Alternative Press called the group masters of ass-kicking, adding, In a better America, Stone Sour would be the face of American rock. Stone Sour’s self-titled debut, also certified gold, spawned the band’s first breakthrough hit “Bother,” which was spotlighted on Spider-Man soundtrack.

The band continue to garner new fans and widespread critical acclaim for Lost In The Sound Of Separation as well as their electrifying live performances.

Creed has sold close to 35 million albums and has performed live in front of millions since forming in 1995. Creed was the first act to have seven consecutive number one rock radio singles, four of which came off of their debut album, 1997’s My Own Prison. That album has sold more than six million copies in the U.S., and the follow-up, Human Clay, was certified Diamond for sales in excess of 11 million copies. Weathered, their third album, tied The Beatles’ Anthology for the most consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard‘s Top 200 chart. After disbanding in 2003, Creed reunited for a three-month North American tour in the fall of 2009. Following the tour, the band released their fourth album, Full Circle, which debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 chart at number two, behind Michael Jackson’s This Is It. Creed has received numerous accolades, including several American Music and Billboard Awards, and the band won the GRAMMY for Best Rock Song for "With Arms Wide Open."
