Progressive rock titans DREAM THEATER--James LaBrie (vocals), John Myung (bass), John Petrucci (guitar, vocals), Mike Portnoy (drums, percussion, vocals) and Jordan Rudess (keyboards, Continuum)--continue their global assault with a March 5-24 tour of South America and Mexico. The trek will encompass 11 shows in six countries, with first-time visits to Lima, Peru and Porto Alegre, Brazil.
In an interview below with Mike Portnoy, the drummer discusses the band’s deep admiration for their fans in Mexico and South America. In Santiago, Chile in 2006, DREAM THEATER played to their largest audience ever (20,000) as a headlining act, a show that was released as a DVD on Portnoy’s YtseJam Records (www.ytsejamrecords.com).
Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. This reunion is appropriately timed to Megadeth’s upcoming historic month-long Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour which launches March 1 in Spokane, WA. At these incredibly special shows, Megadeth will play their landmark, genre-defining 1990 album Rust In Peace in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth favorites.
Psychopathic records' own TWIZTID have just released their tour schedule for Spring 2010. The infamous duo of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide released their 7th studio album W.I.C.K.E.D. last year, and it was the groups highest charting album to date, peaking at #11 on the Billboard 200. The album is also the third-highest charting album in Psychopathic Records history, beaten only by label mates ICP's The Amazing Jeckel Brothers and the recently released Bang! Pow! Boom!

Arch Enemy’s current outing is a flash fire sweep across North America and Canada. The tour, dubbed Tyrant's of Evil, consists of 16 dates that combine fresh metal blood with seasoned warriors. The supporting cast includes 30-year thrash veterans Exodus, fellow metalheads Arsis, and newcomers Mutiny Within.
It's hard to believe Fall Out Boy who we first covered live back in 2005 are calling it quits. According to multiple news sources, Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and the boys are going their separate ways. Stump has announced plans to record a solo album.... we're sure there's more to come.

Los Angeles, CA - February 1, 2010 -- Slayer and Megadeth are thrilled to announce the new, confirmed routing for the American Carnage North American Tour, which will commence with the rescheduled Canadian Carnage East dates in Quebec City on Friday, July 23. Slayer will then head to Europe for a run of festival dates, returning to kick off the American Carnage leg in Albany, NY on August 11. American Carnage will play 26 dates across the United States and Eastern Canada up to the Labor Day weekend, ending in Portland, OR on September 4. Testament will be Special Guest on all shows. Tickets purchased for the American Carnage shows when they first went on sale late last year will be honored for these rescheduled dates. NEW YORK, NY--(January 28, 2010) - Atlantic recording group Circa Survive has
unveiled their first touring plans of the year. The Doylestown,
Pennsylvania-based quintet's upcoming run of shows will kick off at Cat's
Cradle in Carrboro, NC, on March 11th, with dates continuing through the end
of the month (see itinerary below). Tickets will go on sale this Saturday,
January 30.
NEW YORK, NY--(January 29, 2010) - Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has
unveiled details of its upcoming headline tour. The tour is set to kick
off on April 26th with a home state show at Tennessee's Knoxville Civic
Coliseum. Dates will then continue through mid-May (see itinerary below).
Support will come from Relient K and fun.
(Jan. 28, 2010 - New York, NY) International superstar Mariah Carey has completed her 13th studio album, ANGELS ADVOCATE, a brand new collection of newly remixed duets with some of her favorite artists, performing Mariah’s favorite songs from her #1 R&B album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (released September 2009). ANGELS ADVOCATE will be released on March 30th.
In advance of the ANGELS ADVOCATE album release, two new Mariah Carey singles are on the way this week - “Angels Cry” featuring fellow Island Def Jam artist Ne-Yo is impacting at Urban A/C radio, and “Up Out My Face” featuring Nicki Minaj is impacting at Urban and Rhythm radio formats. New videos for both tracks were co-directed by Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. Both videos will premiere at #1 search site VEVO.com on Thursday, January 28th, followed by Friday debuts on MTV and BET. The videos will be available at all platforms starting Monday, February 1st.
