(INDIANAPOLIS --- Thr, July 2)  The Rib America Festival will be part of the 2009 Thunder on the Ohio Unlimited Hydroplane Racing festivities August 21, 22 & 23 at the Riverfront in Evansville, Indiana. Confirmed entertainment includes the Marshall Tucker Band, Travis Tritt, Jack Ingram and more to be announced. The Rib America Festivals are fun filled events featuring award winning barbeque, music, and more that are held in cities across America including St. Louis, Des Moines, San Antonio and Indianapolis.  Eight of the best award winning BBQ teams from across the country will be serving up their finest all weekend long including Willingham’s World Champion BBQ-Tennessee, Porky Chicks BBQ–Arkansas, Chicago BBQ-Illinois, Sgt Oinks BBQ-Ohio, Pigfoot BBQ-Ohio, Smokin’ Joes Hog Wild BBQ–Ohio, and Mojo’s Rib Shack-Georgia, and Coyote Roadhouse BBQ-Illinois.

THUNDER ON THE OHIO: The ABRA Unlimited Hydroplane series makes its 31st appearance on Evansville’s stunning riverfront, as the banks of the Ohio roar to life for 3 days of deck to deck all out warfare as the fleet tries to qualify for the final time before heading to the World Championships in Qatar. This will be the last race of the US season and more possibly the deciding race in the national points title. Last year’s points champion the U-1 Miss Madison’s Oh Boy! Oberto is sure to show strong and she makes her 2009 season debut this weekend July 3-5 at the Madison Regatta in Madison Indiana.

Ticket Information: Tickets on sale Monday, July 6 ($15.00 Advance & $20.00 at the gate).  Ticket Outlet Information: www.thunderontheohio.net.  Free general admission at the gate to all active duty military. Must have active military ID. Children 12 and under admitted free, must be accompanied by parent or adult guardian.  A limited amount of Gold Pit Passes will be available online and at the gate for an additional $25.00.  This includes spectator Hydro Boat pit access for all three days and preferred area access for both Thunder Bowl Concerts on Friday and Saturday Night with access to VIP bars and Food Vendors.

Old National Bank Race Fan 4-Pak: thanks to premier community partners at Old National Bank, beginning July 6 race fans and families can purchase the Race Fan 4-Pak Ticket Package, with a donation of four cans, or packages of non-perishable foods, that benefit the Tri-State Food Bank. The Race Fan 4 Pak includes 4 weekend passes for $50.00.  Don’t forget with your button, access to the spectator race pits on Friday is free. For those who only want to come to the late night events there will be a special $5.00 ticket for the Casino Aztar Bierstube on Friday and Saturday night featuring the Old National Bank Stage brought to you by Hot 96 FM.  Tickets are only good for the night purchased and only available at the Casino Aztar Bierstube gate.  Casino Aztar Gates open at 9:00 p.m. with live entertainment until 2:00 a.m.
