Schedule mishaps, sound problems, and a little rain could not crush the 2009 Rock The Bells crowd last Saturday.  The annual hip-hop festival kicked off this year’s tour by bringing over 20 artists to perform on two stages at the outdoors venue in Tinley Park, IL.  Alongside the 10 hours of musical mayhem was an array of visual artists, vendors, and food.  This year's line-up included performances by Busta Rhymes, Damien Marley and Nas, The Roots, Big Boi, The Knux, Tech9ne, K'naan, Reflection Eternal and many more. Lollapalooza 2007 - Chicago Gives A Whole Lolla Love - Live Photos

“A Whole Lolla Love” was felt by over 150,000 music fans in the span of three days, across nine stages, performed by over 130 premiere and internationally recognized artists as this world-class music festival achieved off-the-chart marks in every category of music that exists.

From the creator of Lollapalooza-Perry Farrell’s new band Satellite Party to The Polyphonic Spree, from Patti Smith to Amy Winehouse, from Daft Punk to Pearl Jam, from Juliette and the Licks to Rodrigo y Gabriela, to Blue October to !!! (Pronounced chk, chk, chk)  And this is the short list of the talented and diverse artists on the ’07 Lolla roster who united for a concert experience of a lifetime!

Grant Park is known as ‘Chicago’s Front Yard’ and equals 319 acres so we can comfortably (or uncomfortably) tell you that Musicpix traversed from stage to stage to bring you the best-of and as much of Lolla as humanly possible.
