Dave Mustaine Announces Return of Founding Bassist David Ellefson to Megadeth Line-Up

Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. This reunion is appropriately timed to Megadeth’s upcoming historic month-long Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour which launches March 1 in Spokane, WA. At these incredibly special shows, Megadeth will play their landmark, genre-defining 1990 album Rust In Peace in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth favorites.

Megadeth, Slayer, Testament Announce New Dates for 'American Carnage'

Megadeth Announce New Tour Dates for 'Rust in Peace' 20th Anniversary Tour

New York, NY: The mighty Megadeth will join forces with Testament and Exodus for a month-long jaunt that will find these thrash titans crisscrossing the nation on the ‘Rust in Peace’ 20th anniversary tour. These will be incredibly special shows that will delight Megadeth fans, as the band will be playing their landmark, genre-defining album, 1990’s Rust in Peace, in its entirety, in addition to other Megadeth set list favorites.

AMERICAN CARNAGE TOUR FEATURING MEGADETH, SLAYER AND TESTAMENT POSTPONED

New York, NY- The much anticipated American Carnage Tour, featuring hard rock behemoths Megadeth, Slayer and Testament has been put on hold due to health issues. Slayer’s bassist/vocalist Tom Araya is in need of back surgery which cannot be postponed.

While disappointed by the tour’s delay, Megadeth are concerned for Araya and wish him a speedy recovery.
Megadeth are currently scheduling a U.S. headline run for March and April, and hope to reschedule the American Carnage tour for Summer ’10.

The Heaven and Hell Tour touched down at Chicago's Allstate Arena on Saturday May 5th. Heaven and Hell is vocalist Ronnie James Dio, Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice. They had an elaborate set that was made to look like the entrance to a castle laid to ruin. Their approx 2 hour set spanned Black Sabbath years with Ronnie James Dio as vocalist. Songs included "I", "Voodoo", an extended rendition of "Heaven and Hell" and an encore performance of "Neon Lights".
