Rock on the Range 2009 delivered 38 bands featuring Slipknot, Mötley Crüe, Alice in Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, and Saliva to name a few to whet your rock appetite.   In two days, fans were treated to a red, white,  blue and TRUE American Rock and Roll festival.  In its third year, ROTR has quickly become a national rock and roll treasure for those looking for maximum entertainment that happens to coincide with Armed Forces Weekend, May 16/17.

Performance times have been announced for ROCK ON THE RANGE, the annual rock festival at Crew Stadium in centrally located Columbus, Ohio.  The two-day, multi-stage music and lifestyle event will feature 19 bands on three stages each day.  (The full schedule is listed below.)

The annual rock festival held at Columbus Ohio's Crew Stadium featuring Motley Crue, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Korn, Blue October and many more will be held May 16th and 17th.  The day-by-day line-ups for ROCK ON THE RANGE--America’s premier destination rock festival--will be revealed Friday, March 20 at 10:00 AM (ET) via www.rockontherange.com. Each day will feature more than 18 bands on three stages, encompassing over 11 hours of non-stop music.  Simultaneously, single day tickets will go on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets and at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.  While they last, one day general admission tickets--for Saturday, May 16 or Sunday, May 17--are priced at only $54.50.  A limited number of two-day field passes are also still available for the festival at Crew Stadium for $114.50. 

This year’s nationally renowned ROCK ON THE RANGE festival will be highlighted by performances from some of rock’s biggest artists including Mötley Crüe, Slipknot, Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn.

Avenged Sevenfold. made their way to the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, Indiana last night. Anxious fans braved the cold weather as the line wrapped half-way around the building to catch the So-Cal natives. A bout of food poisoning caused the band to cancel a show a few days earlier in Ft. Wayne, IN. Avenged Sevenfold has not visited Indiana since the 2006 Ozzfest. We've been covering Avenged Sevenfold since February 2006, and it's been a pleasure to watch them improve and mature. Now touring in support of their self-titled 2007 "Avenged Sevenfold" release, you'll find it's "almost easy" to fall in love with this band's live performance.

The 11th Annual Ozzfest melted the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Noblesville, Indiana with a line-up of 19 international metal bands soldering the sun-drenched metal heads of the Midwest.

For each of the last ten years, OZZfest’s 57 year old founder and namesake has headlined the main stage of the summer’s premiere touring concert festival as a solo artist or with Black Sabbath, but unfortunately not on this Indy stop. This summer’s OZZfest shows mark OZZY’s first solo performances in three years. OZZY has recently been writing songs for an upcoming solo album with his longtime guitarist ZAKK WYLDE, who also fronts Black Label Society. The album’s release date is to be announced.
